Beauty: Fall Lip Colors

Happy Saturday, everyone! I've been posting a few pictures of my makeup looks lately, and a huge staple for my fall looks includes dark lipsticks. I thought I'd share them with you along with swatches.

1. MAC - Rebel
2.NYX Cosmetics - Simply Vamp in Enamored
3. NYX Cosmetics - Simply Vamp in Temptress

Although MAC is high end, you don't have to spend a ton of money on your makeup. There are plenty of dupes out there for a fraction of the cost. NYX is a great brand and these each cost less than $6. Do you have a favorite fall lip color? Share in a comment below!

Beauty: Sweet Simplicity

I'm a firm believer in keeping makeup on the simpler side. If you play up the eyes, tone down the lips; play up the lips, tone down the eyes. This look only took me about 10-15 minutes. My fiance actually asked me to do my makeup for him tonight, because I hadn't been wearing makeup as much as I used to. He said he missed seeing what looks I'd come up with next. So, I actually asked him what lipstick he wanted me to wear and based the look off of that.
For my eyes,  I used my Stay Don't Stray primer/concealer, my beloved Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay, my Anastasia Beverly Brow Wiz for my Eyebrows,  L'Oreal gel eyeliner, and Calvin Klein One mascara.
Prior to applying my eye makeup, I prepped my lips by exfoliating with a lip scrub and applying Vaseline. Once I was all done with my eyes, I blotted off my lips and applied a lip primer from NYX. Then, I applied this gorgeous, pink lipstick from NYX called Audrey.
I actually didn't put on any cream or foundation for this look. Instead, I applied my Bye Bye Pores powder from It Cosmetics all over my face, then added a bit of matte bronzer from It Cosmetics as well.
Hope you all enjoyed this simple look I quickly put together. If there are any specific looks you'd like to see, leave your requests in a comment.

Wishlist: Eyes

"Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects in your eyes." -Sophia Loren

It may only be October, but why not have some fun with coming up with little wishlists leading up to the holidays? My family and friends begin asking me, "What do you want for Christmas?" around Thanksgiving, yet I find myself lost for words, because I never give it much thought. Coming up with these wishlists is a nice way of brainstorming for the quickly arriving holiday seasons. Since I recently posted about glasses and makeup, I thought, "Why not make a wishlist for eye makeup?" Although I swear by my CK One mascara and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I would like to try some other products. After all, it's always nice to have some some sort of backup. So, here it is! My first wishlist!

Beauty: Glasses & Makeup

It's very rare to find me out in public wearing glasses (I've needed them since I was 10). However, I ran out of contact lenses, so I've been wearing my glasses every day for the last two weeks. Now, it's not that I get self-conscious wearing glasses or anything; contacts are just my preference. Growing up, I was considered a tomboy. I'd be the only girl playing basketball with the boys at recess and lunch, I was very competitive playing basketball, volleyball, and indoor soccer (smashing other players against the wall was my highlight), and anything and everything "girly" disgusted me. Playing sports with glasses was hindering and my sports goggles always fogged up, so I begged my parents for contacts at the age of 12. Somewhere around the age of 16 was when the estrogen started kicking into overdrive. It was like my body was forcing me to become girly. I actually started crying when I watched romantic, love movies (I literally thought, "Where the hell are these tears coming from?!" when I watched A Walk to Remember for the seventh time), caring about my hair and the way I dressed, and becoming more and more interested in makeup. It started with eyeliner only, and that was just for my waterline, but over the years, I kept adding more to my routine.
I eventually got to the point where I didn't mind wearing my glasses more, because I no longer play sports on a regular basis. I have to put on some makeup with the glasses though! There's no way you'd catch me with glasses without makeup, because 1. the glasses bring attention to my eyes and make my eyebrows look nonexistent and 2. they make my face look "top-heavy."
So, I decided to create this post to share with you the products I used for the look in this picture. Hope you enjoy! Also, if you're a fellow glasses wearer, leave comments with the products you like to use.
